A new era in air travel will be happening, and it is called Urban Air Mobility, or UAM. Cities are three dimensional, and our current transportation system is two-dimensional. The vision of UAM is that all of us can have safe and efficient air transportation systems where everything from small package delivery drones to passenger-carrying air taxis will be operating above populated areas. A convergence of large amounts of technologies, some not traditionally associated with aviation, and new business models enabled by the digital revolution. Businesses are now able to explore what’s required to create this new method of transportation to safely move people and cargo in the most challenging environment – a dense populated city. Electric Vertical and Take Off (EVTOL) and Landing is the most desirable design. Air travel is currently much safer than ground travel.

Segway-Ninebot S-Pod is is powered by nearly the same gyroscopic self-balancing technology as a traditional Segway. Instead of leaning forward, backward, and to the sides, like the traditional Segway, the S-Pod is controlled using a little joystick on the right side of the seat. Segway claims its self-balancing technology will always keep the chair level and that the two-wheel setup will allow for a quick change in direction even while stationary. There are a few smaller wheels for transporting without power to the unit. Top speed is 24 MPH. This is a great solution instead of a traditional wheel chair for handicapped people, or extremely lazy people.
